A 1-hour virtual leadership and workplace communication workshop for HR professionals, project managers, and team leaders.
This virtual session is designed for thoughtful reflection and learning, exploring how to prepare yourself before entering a difficult conversation so the interaction is clearer, more respectful, and more productive for everyone involved.
Workshop Session: The first 5 Minutes of a Difficult Conversation: Personality-Aware Communication for Workplace Leaders
Format: Live virtual session via Google Meet
(meeting link provided prior to session)
Duration: 1 hour
Overview
Most difficult workplace conversations do not go wrong because of bad intent, but because expectations, needs, and assumptions are unclear from the start.
In this one-hour session, participants will explore how emotional reactions, unclear intentions, and unexamined assumptions can shape the opening moments of a conversation. Through guided reflection and practical examples, attendees will learn how to prepare internally, communicate observations with care, and invite understanding in ways that reduce defensiveness while maintaining accountability.
This session provides practical language and reflective tools that can be applied immediately in leadership, HR, project management, and team settings.
Facilitated by Julie “Jaye” Williams, LPC-S, MBTI® Master Practitioner, AQme Practitioner, and workplace consultant with 25+ years of experience.
